About
Fun facts: Meditator. Yogini. Mom. Active community member. 17 year Oak Park resident. Health food junkie. Connector.
Buying a home is such a significant–and sometimes intimidating–life experience. I know firsthand that your home is a sacred place, and buying or selling often means a big transition is around the bend. This naturally brings with it a wide range of emotions while also inspiring so many possibilities. MY JOURNEY In the early 2000's, I helped rebuild a mixed-income community in Baltimore, Maryland and directly witnessed the strong and heartfelt ties so many community members had with their homes, their neighbors, and their neighborhoods. It became crystal clear to me that a home provides shelter and safety, sure, but it also becomes a place for meaningful connections, shared memories, and sacred traditions. I've learned these lessons even more personally over the years as I have bought and sold four of my own homes in three different cities. MY PROMISE TO YOU Thanks to my personal real estate experience plus my prior years as a consultant and project manager in the corporate world, I will help you navigate what can be a very complex process for results you'll feel good about as you transition out of or into (or both!) your home: If you're a buyer, I'll help you crystallize your desires and navigate the ups and downs of finding just the right fit. If you're a seller, I'll bring the care and attention to detail that makes your home stand apart. Whatever side of the table you're on, I'll help you find common ground with other parties in the process, serving as your guide and your champion. And in all cases, you can count on my creativity, business savvy, transparency, integrity, compassion, and levity when it's needed (and let's be honest, sometimes it's very needed!). MORE ON MY BACKGROUND I have a master's degree and a graduate certificate in Organization Development and an undergraduate degree in Economics. My educational background bridges an understanding of the numbers with an understanding of human beings–core elements of any real estate transaction. I have served on a variety of nonprofit boards and am the Associate Producer of Anatomy of Wings, an award-winning feature-length documentary spanning ten years in the lives of young Black women growing up in East Baltimore. I have called Oak Park home for 16 years where I live with my spouse, teenage daughter and son, and two cats. In my spare time, I enjoy reading prizewinning fiction, taking vigorous walks no matter the season, practicing yoga, escaping for a trail hike, baking my famous granola (and giving it away!), and sharing a tasty meal with a small group of friends.
