I am a Southwest sider by birth so once you know that a lot of other things fall into place. I have a fierce love for Chicago, sports, rich conversation, fine food, a killer story and good people. I graduated from Tulane in '92 moved to Chicago and quickly got to work; managed what I still think may be the best local roaster/coffee shop in the city (Coffee and Tea Exchange) and bartended for over a decade at Spin on Halsted by far the best training ground imaginable for how to talk to people, to serve, to listen. I was encouraged early on that I should invest in real estate- still best advice ever (thanks Steve S!) and did so buying my first investment property in Pilsen in '97. Soon after I bought the home I still live in just west of the United Center and by then the path was clear. In my early 30s when I got licensed and one of my very good friends told me I needed to call and work with Karen Biazar, I took him at his word (thanks Steve B!) Timing is everything and opportunity abounds when paired with hard work & intention; I feel unbelievably fortunate to be a partner in the only real estate brokerage I have ever worked for. Being a woman-owned business, boutique, local & independent means more to me every day. 15 years into this career I love what I do every day-- constantly refining, improving and driven to do more for our clients and for our community. As mother to two young daughters I am especially aware of the impact we can make. It can be a simple thing sometimes but having the ability to listen, assist and give freely can be the most valuable asset you have. I am still motivated every day. Constantly educating myself and finding ways to better serve our clients. I take being a resource very seriously always weaving together experience with knowledge; real-world lessons with textbook. I am always happy to sit down and talk real estate, to give freely of my time, and to share what I can. Coffee is still for closers and I take mine black.
