Chris Ortega is a REALTOR®, combat veteran, former police officer, and professional bodybuilder whose path to real estate was shaped long before he ever stepped into a licensing class. At just 15 years old, Chris returned home to find an empty house and a note explaining that his mother had left. Abandoned and suddenly on his own, he spent his teenage years couch-surfing with friends and learning how to navigate life without the safety net most young people rely on. Those early experiences forged a resilience and determination that would define the course of his life. That resolve led Chris to enlist in the U.S. Army, where he served four years as a Combat Medic with the 10th Mountain Division. During his service, he deployed to Afghanistan for a 13-month tour as part of the 2008 surge during Operation Enduring Freedom, gaining invaluable experience in high-pressure environments that demanded discipline, quick thinking, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. After completing his military service, Chris continued his dedication to public service as a Police Officer, serving his community for six years. In that role, he developed strong investigative skills, negotiation strategies, and a deep understanding of the neighborhoods and communities he served—skills that now translate directly into advocating for his real estate clients. Alongside his professional career, Chris pursued a passion for competitive bodybuilding, a sport that requires relentless preparation, precision, and the mental toughness to push beyond limits. Those same qualities—discipline, strategy, and perseverance—are the foundation of his approach to real estate. Chris’s personal journey is the reason behind his mission.
