Chris Gaggero was an invaluable resource during two different commercial real estate engagements for our nonprofit org, Evanston Made. Chris handled endless negotiations between us and the seller, contract edits, scheduling access to spaces at short notice, hosting meetings, explaining complicate...

Chris offers an unbeatable combination of real estate savvy, eye for detail, and thoughtfulness as a human being in every sense of the word. I can't recommend him enough. We ended up with a place we loved.

About
Fun facts: I'm English but have lived in the US since 1995. I came for grad school and got a PhD from Brown. I used to be a professor, but much prefer being a realtor!
I was born and raised in England, but came to the United States for graduate school. After getting a PhD in English literature from Brown, I came to Chicago and taught at DePaul University. I’d always been intrigued by real estate, though, and after my wife and I bought a condominium I got my license in 2004. The skills I developed as a researcher and teacher serve me well as a realtor..To write a PhD thesis, I had to process a lot of very complex information and then present my analysis of it clearly and compellingly. That’s much like the work I do now for buyers and sellers, sorting through a lot of complex market data to figure out what a property is worth and then using clear and compelling language to present a property (if I’m working for a seller) or an offer (if I’m working for a buyer) as attractively as possible. What I like best about being a realtor is the chance to work closely with one or two people at a very significant moment of their lives--the moment when they're buying or selling a home.
