Chris offers an unbeatable combination of real estate savvy, eye for detail, and thoughtfulness as a human being in every sense of the word. I can't recommend him enough. We ended up with a place we loved.

Chris is a terrific agent. He was kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. He quickly got a sense of our preferences and helped guide us to places that matched our needs. When we found a place that we liked, he made sure that our questions were answered, and he was incredibly patient. We enjoyed workin...

I cannot imagine working with anyone better than Chris with @properties. As a first-time home buyer I had a lot of questions, and Chris did a wonderful job explaining the whole process and making everything as transparent as possible. It was fantastic working with Chris for the sale of our home. Our conversations started almost a year before we actually went to market and Chris was there every step of the way advising us on timing, staging and everything in between. About
Fun facts: I'm English but have lived in the US since 1995. I came for grad school and got a PhD from Brown. I used to be a professor, but much prefer being a realtor!
I was born and raised in England, but came to the United States for graduate school. After getting a PhD in English literature from Brown, I came to Chicago and taught at DePaul University. I’d always been intrigued by real estate, though, and after my wife and I bought a condominium I got my license in 2004. The skills I developed as a researcher and teacher serve me well as a realtor..To write a PhD thesis, I had to process a lot of very complex information and then present my analysis of it clearly and compellingly. That’s much like the work I do now for buyers and sellers, sorting through a lot of complex market data to figure out what a property is worth and then using clear and compelling language to present a property (if I’m working for a seller) or an offer (if I’m working for a buyer) as attractively as possible. What I like best about being a realtor is the chance to work closely with one or two people at a very significant moment of their lives--the moment when they're buying or selling a home.
