Glenn I. Gray Jr. was born in Washington, DC, and raised in New York City alongside his three younger siblings. His early development was deeply influenced by his pastor, Rev. Dr. Floyd H. Flake, and the Allen A.M.E. Church in Jamaica, Queens. Glenn holds a Bachelor of Arts from Clark Atlanta University, a Project Management Certificate from Villanova University, and a Master of Real Estate Development from Auburn University. Glenn is licensed in Pennsylvania and North Carolina for residential and commercial real estate, leading development projects through his firm, Moyo Imara Real Estate Advisory, Consulting, and Development. His career journey includes a year living in Lagos, Nigeria, where he worked in television and commercial production. Before entering real estate, Glenn spent over 20 years in the motion picture industry as a Location Manager, Creative Executive, and Independent Producer in NYC and Los Angeles. The NY Sunday Times praised his work managing a complex three-month shoot in East Harlem for Sidney Lumet’s Night Falls on Manhattan. In 2005, after four years of rigorous training, Glenn was initiated into the Agape Sacred Order of Licensed Spiritual Practitioners through Agape University, under the guidance of Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith. Over eight years, he served the Agape community through leading youth programs, facilitating men’s ministry retreats, and workshops, as well as mentoring at-risk youth through the Youth Mentoring Connection in Los Angeles. One of Glenn’s most cherished roles has been as a stay-at-home father for eight years, during which he homeschooled his oldest daughter using a Waldorf-inspired curriculum. In 2020, he and his family relocated to the Philadelphia area, where his children attend Abington Friends School, and his wife is a teacher with the Cheltenham School District. He remains an active member of his community, including as a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. In his free time, Glenn is a self-taught abstract painter and bass guitar enthusiast. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and taking long walks on the beach.
