A philanthropically driven volunteer, Jeff is dedicated to aiding underprivileged communities. For decades, he has supported endangered children, the homeless, and HIV/AIDS-affected families through organizations like Illinois Masonic Hospital, Cook County Hospital, and FCAN. As a devoted FCAN camp counselor, Jeff provides city youth with transformative nature experiences. His principled generosity is exemplified by his commitment to donating 10% of his income to charitable causes, his sponsorship of children via Compassion International since 1989, and his volunteering at the West Suburban PADS/Housing Forward homeless shelter since 2005. Jeff firmly believes connecting families battling AIDS fosters profound healing from societal isolation and stigma. Schooled in architecture and interior design, Jeff has owned multi-unit rental properties and an antique store. His published work on Chicago artist Stanley Mitruk was recently accepted into the Chicago Art Institute's Ryerson Library. Additionally, he has extensive computer technology expertise and is an avid collector of 18th and early 19th-century American and English furniture, decorative arts, and Stanley Mitruk's artwork. Jeff Married Dr. Wilbert O. Watkins in 2011 (on the 10th anniversary of their meeting) at Davenport, Iowa's United Church of Christ. They live in Oak Park, IL.
