Fun facts: We met in junior high. Karen was a gymnast, ballerina & springboard diver, and once fought a bull. Jimmy played baseball & football and wrestled, then found golf. Lots of golf. His brother is a pro golfer. Karen loves art & design. Birthdays 2 days apart. We both run on coffee...and chocolate

We’re Jimmy and Karen Streelman, The Streelmans, a husband-and-wife real estate team with eXp Realty serving Woodstock and McHenry County, Illinois. We work with lifestyle-driven buyers and sellers, people who know how they want to live and need a home that fits it. Much of our work is with rural properties, acreage, and lakefront homes, where the right fit means more than square footage. Relocation is a big part of what we do. We help buyers moving into Illinois find the right home and the right community, and we help sellers moving out of Illinois sell well and move on with confidence. We especially love helping Midwest families make the move to Arizona, without feeling like they’ve landed on another planet. A move across the country is about a lot more than a house, and we’re there to make the whole transition smoother. What we love most is solving the problems other people give up on. Real estate rarely goes by the book, and when a deal hits a wall, that’s when we get creative. We look at the situation from every angle, think outside the box, and find the solution that gets our clients where they want to go, even when it takes an unconventional path to get there. We thrive on negotiation. It’s where preparation, creativity, and reading people all come together, and it’s where we make the biggest difference for our clients. Whether we’re representing a buyer or a seller, we go in ready and we advocate hard. That same creativity drives our marketing. We shoot and produce our own listing videos, create our own social content, and publish our own branded magazine. When we list your home, the people telling its story are the people who know it best. We also mentor newer agents, because the people who helped us early on made a difference, and we want to pass that on. Working with us means getting two people who know each other’s strengths and have each other’s backs.
