About
Fun facts: I love working with artists and entrepreneurs. I have helped a lot of clients buyer and seller with mixed use properties, or even a few old warehouses.
Melissa Stanley has worked in real estate for over 25 years. In 2010, she decided to find her own unique niche and created ArtHouseChicago. This was a chance for Ms. Stanley to combine her love of architecture and real estate. Melissa grew up in an art-loving family. Her mother lived in Manhattan in the 1960’s, working as an abstract painter; she stopped painting to raise a family but is painting again. Her father was an art historian who focused on architecture and design. Ms. Stanley graduated from Alfred University with a BFA before moving to Italy for a year and then on to Chicago. Melissa worked for ten years as a property manager before moving to real estate in 2000. Ms. Stanley is a regular presenter at the Chicago Artist Expo and has worked with several artists and art organizations, helping them find or sell the unique spaces they need as artists.

Ten years ago I found my condo in Uptown with Melissa's skilled guidance. This was my first home purchase, and decision-making is not my strong suit! I wasn't absolutely sure where I wanted to live (Uptown, Logan Square, Wicker Park, somewhere else?) and what kind of unit would be best for me. Me...

We could not be more thankful for the work Melissa Stanley did in helping us find a multi-unit building! She was a good listener, understood our needs (and the two-flat market really well), and knew how to negotiate for us. We would recommend her to anyone we know in the market to buy a home.

I highly recommend Melissa. She was our real estate agent who sold our home in Logan Square. We received multiple offers within a week of listing and closed at well-above asking price. But that's not the only reason why I recommend her. She exceeded all of our expectations as a real estate pr...

Always quick to respond and clear to communicate, Melissa got my home on the market quickly, I got an offer promptly, and the sale went very smoothly. When I compare the process of selling with Melissa to the process of buying with a different realtor, I couldn't be happier.

I've bought three properties over the years with Melissa and sold one. She helped me buy and sell a condo in Humboldt Park, buy a 2-flat in Humboldt Park and most recently buy a single family in Glenview, IL. She is very easy to work with and gives great advice and support throughout the process....

Melissa was a great resource when we were looking for our new home. She was very flexible with us, and modified our search when we wanted her to. She scheduled our home visits when it was convienent for us and went out of her way to accommodate our requests! We are very happy in our new home.

Melissa Stanley was my buyer's agent. She ably represented my interests. Once I had narrowed down the search, there were an extraordinary number of obstacles largely from the bank's mortgage approval process, despite the fact I was a well-qualified buyer and the property was worth my offer. She h...

Melissa got the job done after failed attempts with two other realtors! She did a great job of marketing the property, following up on inquiries and generally keeping things moving. She has a ton of experience and was able to navigate unexpected twists and turns in the process. Highly recommend h...

We worked with Melissa Stanley to sell our house, while we were out of town for a month looking for a new house in North Carolina. We were worried about being out of town, but Melissa had everything covered. Melissa was organized, professional and a great communicator. She was available for our ...
