Though she enjoyed a dynamic career as a photographer and production assistant in downtown Chicago, Renny Mills made a career switch following an adverse shift in the industry. As she always had a nexus to marketing, parlaying her skills into real estate came naturally. She’s spent the last 12 years honing her craft and boasts extensive knowledge in unique transaction types. Mills specializes in a range of market segments, including luxury properties, large tract parcels, new development and standard residential real estate. Serving Southwest Michigan, she’s a proud member of three Realtor boards, which allows her to effectively cover this large geographic area with strategic insider knowledge. Lauded by clients for her friendliness, open ear and skill in managing expectations, she mostly has repeat and referred clientele. Witnessing and facilitating the growth of her team is Mills’ proudest professional accomplishment over the past year. “The velocity of the market and the demands of today’s digital consumer dictate that a group approach is the most prudent for long-term, sustained success,” she offers. With the support of her team and network, Mills achieved a longtime goal by earning her company’s Road to Rolex award. She also recently completed the Ninja Installation course — setting her on a path to exponential future production. She believes you can’t achieve a high level of success without the people who have helped you along the way. “It takes personal sacrifice and hard work,” she insists. “Once you achieve even the smallest amount of success, never forget to pay it forward, and always remain humble.” It’s a message she imparts to all of her team members and anyone else willing to listen. Mills regularly fosters dogs through the nonprofit Homeward Bound Animal Welfare Group, and in her leisure time, she can be found painting, reading or journaling.
