Richard J. “RJ” Freedkin is an eXp Realty broker who helps buyers and sellers in Algonquin and the surrounding northwest suburbs and is known for selling homes quickly and above list price. Then he prepares the home, photographs it in HDR with a 3D tour and floor plan, and launches it with targeted Facebook ads, retargeting and direct outreach to every local agent whose buyers match it. More buyers see the home in its first days, which brings more showings, multiple offers and stronger terms. When offers come in, he prepares a net sheet for each one and a side-by-side comparison, so sellers can weigh price and terms, not just the top number. He brings the same edge to buyers. Because he knows how listing agents price homes and run multiple offers, and how lenders and appraisers view a deal, he helps buyers spot overpriced homes and write offers that compete. Where sellers allow escalation clauses, he uses one he wrote that weighs the strength of competing offers, not just price, so buyers don’t bid against themselves. He is also VA certified and helps veterans use their VA loan benefits. Richard has worked in real estate since 1976. In 25 years in the mortgage business, he ran mortgage lending for a Chicago-area savings and loan, built one of Northern Illinois’ largest mortgage brokerages, and rehabbed and invested in property before becoming a full-time Realtor. Across his career he has participated in more than 8,000 real estate transactions, taking loan applications, underwriting loans and appraisals, handling closings and servicing loans.
