Scott is an award-winning broker whose career in real estate has spanned more than 25 years and has covered virtually all facets of real estate from banker, investor and principal to property manager, developer and contractor. He is a licensed Illinois Managing Broker, a licensed Real Estate Continuing Education Instructor and the author of: “How to Analyze & Underwrite Apartment & Multi-Family Buildings Like a Pro; Using The Tools you Already Have in Your Pocket.” Presently, Scott is the owner of: 1) The Chicago Real Estate Authority "Expert Brokerage & Advisory since 1989." A full-service, boutique-style brokerage and advisory firm. 2) The Chicago Development Authority "Adaptive Re-Use. Re-Imagined." Developers and Repurposers of Underutilized Real Estate. 3) The Chicago Renovation Authority "Old Places. New Life." Expert Renovators of Cool Vintage Real Estate. 4) The Chicago Education Authority "Real Life. Real Estate Knowledge." No BS Real Estate Education, Workshops, and Seminars. Other For-Profit Experience Includes: 10+ years as the COO of GMP Development, an MBE certified design-build general contracting firm. 10+ years as co-owner of over 325 multi-family & mixed-use units on the South and West sides' of Chicago. 10+ years as co-founder of a multi-state mortgage banking company. Non-Profit experience: Co-founder of GMP Labs: A Workforce Development & Vocational Training Academy where he served as both Chief Administrative Officer and Board Chairman.
