Hi, I’m Vanessa Hedberg with Warring & Associates here in Benicia. I grew up in Benicia and Solano County is home, so for me, real estate is really about the people and the community. I’m building my business mostly through referrals, which might be the slower way to grow, but I actually really like it that way. It gives me the chance to stay connected to my clients and give them the personal attention they deserve. At Warring & Associates, we’re a little old school — in a good way. We pick up the phone. We meet people face-to-face. We know our community, and we really get to know the people we’re working with. That personal connection feels like it’s disappearing a little bit these days, and I think there’s still a lot of value in it. Before real estate, I spent years in hospitality and even worked as a pastry chef, so being organized, detail-oriented and maybe a *little* meticulous is just part of who I am. Turns out, those skills translate pretty well to real estate! And now, another little branch of my business is growing — property management. I’m offering different levels of service for local property owners, from tenant placement and leasing help to more ongoing management. I really like the idea that owners can choose the level of help they actually need instead of being pushed into a one-size-fits-all package. And just like with my real estate clients, I want it to feel personal. I’m a property owner myself, so I understand the owner side of things, but I also think tenants deserve to have a real person they can call and communicate with. Buying, selling, renting or owning property can come with a LOT of moving pieces, and I genuinely enjoy being the person who keeps those pieces organized and helps make the process feel a little less overwhelming. That’s really what Rooted in Real Estate means to me — being rooted in my community, rooted in relationships, and rooted in taking good care of people.
